Challenge
As a zero-waste dog food supplier, Wild Way is a novel business in Hong Kong. Wild Way came to us for our expertise during the ideation stage of their business to provide insights into the pet food market, business positioning, and creative direction. The goal was to create a brand and aesthetic that could echo their mission of “Inspiring a Lower Waste Lifestyle For Our Pets” that stood out in a saturated market.
Outcome
A strategic entry into the dog snacks market embodied in a unique brand identity that cuts through the noise. A new logo system, color palette, key messaging, packaging, and product design were created.
Process
As entrepreneurs ourselves, we know the importance of accurately showcasing your business’s value proposition to potential customers.
To understand the market landscape, we kicked off the project with in depth competitor analysis, market research, and sizing. This process allows us to not shoot in the dark and be more strategic.
Afterward it was important to dig deep into the Wild Way’s core business offerings and identity. After 2 full days discovery sessions with the Founders we hammered down their identity, mission and business offerings.
Strategy
Wild Way stands to be different as they advocate for pet owners to reduce their furry friend’s eco-footprint by their product offerings. The bottom line was to create an eye-catching brand identity with clear messaging that captured the attention of pet owners. In doing so, encourage pet owners to take small steps towards lowering their pet’s plastic footprint.
This project was selected to be featured in The Best Pet Food Packaging Designs by DesignRush, a platform known for promoting the best designs.
Design
We developed an identity system, packaging, and product design making emphasis on its authenticity, minimalism, and boldness. A graffiti-like logo complemented with illustrations that are eye-catching and fun embodies its rebellion against traditional plastic packaging whilst being playful.
